Forever Awesome Font Duo: a hand-drawn script set for playful, kid-friendly branding

Design style

Forever Awesome Font Duo is built around a loose, hand-drawn script with the kind of wobble that reads as friendly rather than sloppy. Strokes vary in weight the way a felt-tip marker does when you slow down on a curve and speed up on a straight — there’s pressure variation baked into the letterforms rather than applied as a filter. Joins between letters are casual, ascenders and descenders swing a bit wide, and nothing in the lowercase pretends to be disciplined calligraphy. It sits closer to a birthday card than a stationery suite, and it knows it.

The companion All Caps font takes a different tack: blocky, slightly rounded uppercase forms with a hand-cut irregularity to the strokes, more marker-poster than script. Paired together, the two styles read as a set rather than a coincidence, which is the harder trick to pull off in a duo like this.

Character set and features

The set is genuinely three fonts, not one dressed up. The Script carries a Script Alt sibling with its own upper and lowercase alternates, so you can swap in less flourished letterforms where the primary set gets too busy — useful, because scripts like this can tip into illegible clutter fast. Sixty-nine ligatures handle common double and triple letter combinations, which matters more than it sounds: hand-drawn scripts often fall apart at repeated letters, and having pre-built connections for those spots keeps the flow believable instead of forcing you to fake it letter by letter in a layout program.

The All Caps font doubles as two uppercase sets accessed through the shift key, meaning you get a plain block cap and a rougher alternate without switching files. It’s a practical bit of engineering for a display font — most people never dig past the default character map, and this makes the second set essentially free to discover.

Language support runs across most of the major Western and Central European sets, so accented characters in French, Spanish, German, the Nordic languages and several Eastern European ones are present rather than absent or auto-substituted, which is where cheaper hand-lettered fonts usually cut corners.

This is a font for work that wants to feel handmade and unserious: kids’ product packaging, birthday and greeting card lines, playful logo lockups, quote graphics, anything where the brief specifically avoids

A well-constructed playful script with real engineering behind it — ligatures, alternates, and a genuinely complementary caps set. It's built for one mood, and it does that mood convincingly, but don't expect it to flex into anything formal.
