Shighar Font Free Download

There is no official Shighar free download. Shighar is a commercial display font sold by QR Design Studio on Creative Market, and when we checked in October 2026 the shop offered no demo or personal-use version. A Desktop licence costs $14 per seat. Copies on free font sites were not posted by the designer and do not come with a licence.

Shighar free download: what the official listing offers instead

The only official source we found is the Shighar – Artdeco & Hindi Font listing on Creative Market, published by QR Design Studio on 15 August 2024. We also checked DaFont and found no Shighar upload there.

When we checked in October 2026, the listing offered four standard licences:

• Desktop, $14 per seat: logos, print, merchandise and images for websites or social media.
• Webfont, $14 (shown at $11.90): use on websites through CSS.
• E-pub, $28 (shown at $25.90): e-books, magazines and interactive PDFs.
• App, $112 (shown at $109.90): embedding in iOS, Android, Windows or Linux apps.

The download listed on the page is three files: Shighar.OTF, Shighar.TTF and Shighar.WOFF, about 94 KB in total. That is one style, with no bold or italic.

What “Art Deco meets Hindi” means on the listing

The product title calls Shighar an “Artdeco & Hindi Font”. The designer’s own description is shorter: “Shighar Font is a hindi and authentic display font.” Creative Market files it under sans serif fonts.

Put together, the listing presents Shighar as a single display weight that mixes geometric Art Deco styling with a Hindi influence. The designer suggests it for posters, sports branding and logos.

We have not examined the font files, so we cannot describe individual letters. Look at the preview images and the text preview box on the official listing before you buy. Type the exact words you plan to use, because display fonts often look very different in a short logo word than in a full headline.

Does Shighar include Devanagari characters?

The listing does not say. “Hindi” appears in the title and tags, but the page never states that the font contains Devanagari letters, and its preview box uses English text. Many fonts sold as “Hindi style” are Latin alphabets drawn to suggest Devanagari script, for example with a strong top line. If you need to set real Hindi words, ask the designer through Creative Market before paying.

Where the Shighar font fits

The designer names three uses, and they share one thing: short, large text.

• Posters: event titles, film or music nights, festival headlines.
• Sports branding: team names, jersey lettering, match-day graphics.
• Logos: one or two words where the font itself carries the identity.

With only one style, Shighar needs a partner for everything else. A plain sans keeps the page readable:

• Mukta covers both Latin and Devanagari, which helps on bilingual posters.
• Poppins is a geometric sans that also supports Devanagari, and its round shapes sit well beside Deco-style headlines.
• Inter is a safe choice for small print such as dates, venues and ticket details.

Licence basics before commercial use

Shighar is sold under Creative Market’s standard font licences. According to Creative Market’s font licence page:

• The Desktop licence allows unlimited commercial and personal projects, including physical products, packaging, social media and paid ads.
• Web, game and print-on-demand use under Desktop is allowed only as flattened images. You cannot embed the font file.
• Each person who installs the font needs a seat, so a team of three buys three seats.
• You cannot share or resell the font files.

To use Shighar as live text on a website, you need the Webfont licence; for an app, the App licence. This is a summary, not legal advice. Read the licence on the official page for your exact use.

How to install Shighar

After you download Shighar from Creative Market, unzip the folder.

• Windows: right-click Shighar.OTF and choose Install, or Install for all users.
• Mac: double-click Shighar.OTF and click Install in Font Book.

Install either the OTF or the TTF, not both, to avoid duplicate entries in font menus. The WOFF file is for websites and is not meant for desktop installation. Restart your design app if the font does not appear.

Free alternatives to Shighar

If you came here for a Shighar free download, these are the legal free options. None of them is a copy of Shighar; they are open-licence display fonts from Google Fonts that cover some of the same jobs.

• Shrikhand is a heavy, curvy display face by Jonny Pinhorn with Gujarati and Latin support. It is the closest in spirit if you want South Asian flavour, but it is a slanted script-like style rather than a Deco sans.
• Rubik Mono One is a heavy monospaced sans with slightly rounded corners. It gives a bold, blocky look for sports and poster headlines, without Shighar’s decorative detail.
• Bebas Neue is an all-caps condensed sans. It is plainer than Shighar and fits more letters into a narrow space, which makes it a practical poster font.

If real Hindi text matters more than the Deco look, Yatra One is a free display font that supports Devanagari.
