Monbeat Font Free Download
There is no official Monbeat free download. Rishsketch Studios sells Monbeat, a modern handwritten script in Regular and Italic, as a paid font on Creative Market, and neither the listing nor our searches turned up a free demo or personal-use version.
When we checked in October 2026, a desktop licence on the official Creative Market listing cost $15 per seat.
Monbeat free download vs. a paid licence: what each gets you
A “free” copy from a third-party font site gets you a file with no licence and no guarantee it is complete or unmodified. The designer does not distribute Monbeat that way. The only mention of trial fonts on the listing belongs to Creative Market’s enterprise licence package, not to a free Monbeat file.
The paid licence gets you, according to the listing:
- Monbeat Regular and Monbeat Italic.
- OTF, TTF and WOFF files for each style.
- Ligatures and alternate characters.
- Support for 65 languages.
- PUA-encoded alternates, so you can reach the extra characters without professional design software.

The download is listed at 621.57 KB, and the product page went live on 10 August 2024. For a one-off personal card, the free Google Fonts scripts further down this page are a legal stopgap, though they lack the Monbeat font’s italic and PUA alternates.
How Rishsketch Studios describes Monbeat
The designer pitches Monbeat as a premium script for projects that need a distinctive, high-end feel, with branding, social media and upscale design work named as the main uses. The two styles give you an upright Regular and a slanted Italic, which is less common in handwritten scripts and lets you vary emphasis without switching fonts.
We have not examined the font files, so we will not describe individual letters. The listing’s preview images and live text box are the best way to judge the capitals, the connections between letters and how the ligatures look with your own wording.
Getting to the alternates in Canva, Cricut and Word
Script fonts often hide their best characters behind OpenType features that Canva, Cricut Design Space and Word handle poorly. Monbeat’s listing says its extra characters are PUA-encoded. PUA stands for Private Use Area, a block of Unicode code points where designers can place alternates so that each one behaves like a normal character you can copy and paste.
In practice:
- On Windows, open Character Map, choose Monbeat in the font list and scroll to the end of the grid. Select an alternate, click Copy, then paste it into Canva, Cricut Design Space or any other app with Monbeat selected.
- On a Mac, open Font Book, select Monbeat and view its characters, or use the Character Viewer (Control-Command-Space) with the Glyph category added. Double-click or copy the character you want.
- In Microsoft Word, go to Insert, then Symbol, then More Symbols. Pick Monbeat as the font and choose “Private Use Area” from the Subset list.
- In Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign, use the Glyphs panel, or let ligatures apply automatically through the OpenType settings.
Pasted characters only look right when the text is still set in Monbeat. If you change the font, PUA characters turn into empty boxes or odd symbols.
Languages and software
The listing claims support for 65 languages and names English, French, German, Spanish and Swahili among them. It does not publish the full list, so check accented characters for your language in the live preview before buying. Rishsketch says the font installs on PC and Mac and works in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign as well as Microsoft Word.
Where Monbeat fits, and what to set beside it
Following the designer’s list, Monbeat makes sense for a boutique logo, a product label, a salon or bakery sign, Instagram quote graphics and event invitations. Use it for names, short headlines and signatures. Long passages in any handwritten script are tiring to read.
Partner fonts that keep a premium tone:
- Playfair Display, a high-contrast serif, for a fashion or beauty brand.
- Montserrat in uppercase with wide letter spacing, for clean taglines under the script.
- Raleway for website body text and menus.
Licence tiers on Creative Market
When we checked in October 2026, the Monbeat font listing showed these prices:
- Desktop: $15 per seat, for designing graphics, print and logos on your computer.
- Webfont: $15, on sale at $12.75, for embedding on a website.
- E-pub: $30, on sale at $27.75, for ebooks.
- App: $120, on sale at $117.75, for use inside an app.
Creative Market also offered 15% off a lower-priced licence and 15% off multiple licences, and an enterprise or custom licence for larger needs. Questions about the font go to the shop owner through the Rishsketch profile; licence and billing questions go to Creative Market’s Help Center. This is a summary, not legal advice.
Installing Monbeat
Unzip the file. On Windows, right-click the OTF or TTF files for Regular and Italic and choose Install. On a Mac, double-click each file and click Install Font. Use one format, not both. The WOFF files are for websites only. Restart open apps so they pick up the new fonts.
Free alternatives to Monbeat
If you came for a Monbeat free download because you only need a script for a personal card, these Google Fonts are free under the SIL Open Font License, which also allows commercial use:
- Tangerine is a narrow calligraphic script with Regular and Bold weights. It reads as elegant rather than casual and needs large sizes.
- Great Vibes is a formal flowing script with long connecting strokes. It is the obvious free pick for wedding stationery.
- Alex Brush has a brush-pen feel with rounder shapes. It suits social graphics and cafe menus.
None of them has an italic companion or PUA alternates, which are the two things that set Monbeat apart on its listing.
