Artedas Font Free Download
Artedas is a paid font, so an official Artedas free download does not exist as far as we could find. It is made by Gatype, an Indonesian foundry, with Khaidir credited as designer. When we checked in October 2026, a desktop licence cost between $7 and $20 depending on the store, and $17 per seat on Creative Market.
Artedas free download: what Gatype actually offers
Gatype sells Artedas as a single font on several official storefronts. None of the pages we checked has a demo file, a personal-use version or a trial download:
- Creative Market: Desktop licence $17 per seat
- MyFonts: from $20
- Fontspring: listed at $14, with a sale price of $8.40 shown in search results
- Craftwork: $7, with OTF and TTF files
Some free-font websites offer an Artedas free download labelled “free for personal use”. Those labels come from the sites, not from Gatype. Without a licence from the foundry or one of its stores, you have no right to use the font, even for a personal project that might later be shared or sold.
The Creative Market listing went live on 2 August 2024, the same day Artedas debuted on MyFonts.

Script or sans? The stores disagree
This is the oddest thing about Artedas. Gatype’s own description, repeated across its listings, calls it “a modern font that combines elegant and contemporary elements”. It talks about smooth lines, a sleek design, high clarity and a clean, minimalist look. That sounds like a refined modern typeface, and Craftwork describes it in those terms.
Yet Creative Market files Artedas under Script fonts, and Fontspring calls it a brush script. We have not examined the font files, so we cannot settle the question for you. Look at the official preview images on Creative Market or MyFonts, or type your own text into the MyFonts tester, before you pay. Do not buy it on the strength of the word “minimalist” alone.
What the listings agree on: Artedas is one style, Regular, with no bold or italic. Gatype aims it at logos, posters and social media graphics, and Craftwork adds editorial layouts, fashion, branding and digital products.
Prices and licences in detail
On Creative Market, when we checked in October 2026:
- Desktop: $17 per seat
- Webfont: $19, shown on sale at $16.45
- E-pub: $38, shown on sale at $35.45
- App: $136, shown on sale at $133.45
- Enterprise or Custom: contact sales
Creative Market’s font licence says the Desktop licence covers unlimited personal and commercial projects, including products, packaging, social media and paid ads. On websites, in apps and in games, Desktop allows only rasterised use, such as text saved inside an image. Live web text needs the Webfont licence. Each person who installs the font needs a seat.
The cheaper stores use their own licence terms. Fontspring describes Artedas as available as a desktop and a web font, and Craftwork links its own licence page. Read the terms of the store you choose, especially for web or app use. This is general information, not legal advice.
About Gatype
Gatype is a type foundry based in Indonesia, founded in 2021 according to its Craftwork profile. MyFonts credits Khaidir as the designer of Artedas and Gatype as the publisher. Gatype’s MyFonts catalogue also includes script fonts such as Hamidha Script and Just Married, which helps explain why stores file Artedas with scripts.
Where Artedas fits
Follow Gatype’s own suggestions and use it for short, prominent text:
- Logos and wordmarks for beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands
- Poster headlines and event titles
- Instagram and Pinterest graphics with a single line of text
- Magazine-style section headers
As a single-weight font, it needs a partner for body text. A clean sans such as Nunito Sans or Montserrat works for captions and paragraphs. For a more editorial feel, try EB Garamond.
Install Artedas on Windows or Mac
- Unzip the download from your store.
- On Windows, right-click the OTF file and choose Install.
- On a Mac, double-click the file and click Install Font in Font Book.
- Restart your apps. In Cricut Design Space, look under System fonts. In Canva, upload the file to your Brand Kit (font uploads need a paid plan).
Free Google Fonts in place of Artedas
The three suggested free alternatives are all bold display fonts. They are not elegant scripts, and none will reproduce Artedas. They suit a different, louder kind of headline.
- Monoton is a multi-line, neon-style display font. It is for big, short words and is far more decorative than Artedas.
- Alfa Slab One is a heavy slab serif. It gives posters a strong, solid voice, the opposite of a light, sleek style.
- Anton is a tall, condensed bold sans. It packs long headlines into narrow spaces.
All three are under the SIL Open Font License and free for commercial use. If you want a free font closer to a modern script, browse the Handwriting category on Google Fonts.
